About Us
The Israeli Union for Social Welfare - Espant-Israel (registered association) deals with the promotion of research in the field of social policy in Israel and aims to serve as a unique arena for the community of researchers, policy makers and civil society activists engaged in and interested in the design and implementation of social policy in Israel.
The goals of Espant-Israel are to arouse public interest and awareness of social policy research and action among policy makers and civil society organizations, to promote the integration of research knowledge in the decision-making process of social policy in Israel, to serve as a platform for discussing current and long-term welfare issues and to foster research in the field of social policy among researchers. and young people.
Since 2003, the Israeli Association for Social Welfare has held the main annual conference for social policy research in Israel, and since 2009 Espant-Israel has served as the Israeli branch of the European Social Policy Analysis Network (ESPAnet).
